Public Safety Radio Systems
When an emergency strikes, public safety users need to communicate. The Project 25 standard, defined by public safety users, supports interoperable communications across multiple systems. Direct Communications offers a host of business and technology solutions to address interoperability, from system-to-system interoperability to multiband radios.
With next generation public safety interoperability solutions, public safety agencies will expand their ability to connect critical resources across agencies, technologies and networks.
Direct Communications can also provide its TaitNet QS2 Simulcast Network to be used in various public safety departments and agencies. Tait’s QS2 system, part of the comprehensive TaitNet radio network range, is ideal for public safety organisations and other mobile staff spread over a wide area.
The Tait system will provide the saturation coverage to ensure all personnel in the area will be instantly available on the same channel and will stay connected in the most challenging working environments. The QS2 system also overcomes the biggest drawback of traditional simulcast systems – costly regular maintenance.
The new second generation QS2 system is now even more cost-effective through a simpler system architecture, which overcomes the need for several of the hardware modules required in the original system.
